Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since January 1, 2006.
What is your primary product or service?
Pet care services such as in-home pet care, cage free daycare and boarding, and dog walking.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Amanda Gomez & Gina Vidal established AGV Pet Sitting & More in 2006.
They have been friends since 1998 and are avid animal lovers. Their own zoo consists of 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 water turtles.
Amanda worked in an animal shelter for one year which gave her the opportunity to interact with and care for over 400 different animals. She then became a state licensed security guard where she was the supervisor of her post and held the rank of Lieutenant.
In September 2007, Amanda resigned from security in order to run the pet sitting business full time. Most recently, she began a small website design business called AGV Web Design.
Amanda loves the flexibility of being her own boss and hopes to provide many years of quality pet care to the community.
Gina has a long history of animal care. She started volunteering at a Tucson veterinary clinic at the age of 12 and was hired as a veterinary assistant once she turned 16. She has been employed at a veterinary hospital ever since.
In Flagstaff, Gina worked as a vet tech for 6 years. She is now a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and works in the surgical department at a specialty animal hospital in Gilbert, and part-time at a general practice animal hospital.
She hopes to finish school and become a veterinarian herself one day. For now, she primarily helps AGV when her medical expertise is required.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are professionals and do not consider this a hobby or side job. We are dedicated to 110% customer satisfaction, are licensed, bonded, insured and have veterinary experience for your peace of mind.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We serve 3 major areas within the state of Arizona: Flagstaff, Phoenix Metro, and Tucson Metro. While many pet sitters choose to remain small, we would love to be able to expand to other areas of Arizona as well as other parts of the country.
Provide detailed directions to your location
All of our services are done in the client's or sitter's home, therefore, we do not have a primary office location.
What type of payments do you accept?
We prefer cash, check, or money order, but will also accept credit card payments via PayPal if needed.
Which areas do you service?
Flagstaff, Phoenix Metro, and Tucson Metro. Please visit our website for a map of our current service areas.

What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission - to be of service to them whenever they require it."
~Francis of Assisi
